Many students are failing exams due to peer pressure which is a risk to their future. Fred is a student at St Joseph CDSS who wrote his MSCE in 2018. He failed due to peer pressure during his learning time.
When he started Form 1, he was a good student, hardworking, respective and punctual. Later, he met with other students of bad behaviors, in participating in class and they abused drugs and substances.
Likely, they were disturbing other students during class lessons.
Fred joined them when he was in Form 2. His behavior changed imminently, as a result of smoking chamba and abusing other drugs. His parents and teachers took a step to advise him to change and part from those friends. He accepted to change but he didn't change.
The behavior continued. When he reached Form 3, it came to worse that he was even failing exercises. He failed terminal exams too.
When abusing drugs continued, his friends' parents sent their children to expensive private secondary schools in order to conserve their future. Fred remained alone as his parents couldn't have afford those schools. At this point, he was already addicted to smoking and drinking alcohol. As a result, he failed his MSCE exams.
