Every girl has the right to get employed and work after completing her education. This is so because every girl child has the right to own property. When trying to have this right, the girl child faces several challenges. This article therefore explains some of these challenges
For so many years, the rights of girls have been violated because our country favoured boys only. But after realising that a girl child has capability to work just as boys do, the government is encouraging girls to go to school. The parents are also encouraged to send their children to school so that they will be leaders of tomorrow.
Although it is like that, girls are facing different challenges for instance; There are some girls who are learning in community day secondary schools that are far from their homes. These girls walk each and every day from their homes to school. As such it is easy for them to be raped then they can get unwanted pregnancies. The unwanted pregnancies lead to school dropout and these girls fail to achieve their goals.
Challenges like these can be reduced by constructing girls' hostels in order for girls to be closer to their school. In so doing, we are going to promote their confidence to enter the work force. This is because they are prepared to have confidence to start work after finishing their studies.
Men are the causes of girls’ rights violation. However they are the ones who can rise up and promote rights of girls, so it is our duty to do so.
