| DEC Meeting in Mangochi |
Timveni on 12th
October 2017 held the first entry meeting to District Executive Committee (DEC)
in Mangochi with the aim of equipping them with information about Youth Out
Loud under Youth Media Project.
The meeting attracted 65 DEC members in the district.
A key note address was
made by Director of Planning and Development who later officially opened the
meeting.

On behalf of Timveni, Project
Coordinator Mr Ralph Nyirenda gave presentation on the project’s summary, project
activities, situational analysis and sustainability, partnerships and
Networking.
Community leaders were informed
about project’s radio programs, newsletters and online content produced by
children about child rights issues that affect them in schools and communities Local
communities.

At
the meeting, participants recommended Timveni and UNICEF for the project but
they asked how the sustainability and the partnership will be with the
stakeholders.

They
however wanted to know what role the partners will play during the
implementation of the activities. One participant proposed that the project can
be implemented in the district and it was seconded by two participants.
