Being a girl is not a barrier
I can do what he can do
I can reach where he can reach
And no one can stop me
Because l know l can
They fire words like bullets at me
Trying to mislead me
But l will still keep on going
Till I succeed in my life
And I’m sure I will make it
Yes l can become a doctor
Not just someone’s mother
I can make it and become an accountant
Not someone’s servant
So do not disturb me but help me to
succeed
Because l have a right to do so
I can reach a lot of places
And help bring change to my country
Being a girl does not mean I’m a failure
Because I know I’m a warrior and l know l
can make it
