There was once lived a man, but this man was so cruel.

This man had three children, his wife had passed away. The man told his children not to go to school. Instead they had to work in their field and later they would get married. The children were always unhappy.

One day, one of the children, Mavuto asked his father to allow them to go to school. The man was very angry and said "No. You should not go to school, go the garden. Every day he took the children to the garden.

One day Mavuto went to the headteacher to seek advice. Mavuto explained the attitude of his father towards education. The headteacher then advised him to go to the village head who used to be a member of the Bright Future Committee (BEC)..

The village head said, "I have heard that you are preventing your children from going to school. Why?" The man did not answer. The village head ordered the man to allow Mavuto and his sister to go to school.

At first, the man was angry. He was not happy with the village head's decision. Although he was unhappy with the idea, the children started going to school. The headteacher was very happy and thanked the village head for the assistance.

The man's children went to secondary schools. They worked hard and wrote form 4 examinations. They all passed and went to different colleges.

After finishing their courses. Mavuto became a teacher and started working. He and his parents were all happy.
