YOL extends to Dedza

Timveni Child and Youth Media Organization has been granted permission to roll out Youth Out Loud (YOL) project in Dedza district.

With funding from UNICEF, Youth Out Loud is a project aimed at equipping young people with basic journalism skills.

DEC meeting was held on 29 November at Dedza district hall from 9am to 2pm.

The DEC meeting which was attended by various stakeholders, attracted a total of 68 participants.

YOL Project Coordinator Ralph Nyirenda presented the project to DEC.

He cited that the project intends to train 200 learners from secondary schools and selected standard 8 (JPGE) primary learners will be included.

The house welcomed the project, saying it will help youths to raise various issues affecting their lives.

Also participants cited that the project will also prepare some youths for career as YOL will make them become better journalists and Public Relations Officers (PRO) of big companies in the future.

Ralph thanked the house for welcoming the project.
