The Struggle of Malawian Male Students

Being a Malawian male student is a struggle on its own. Most of the Malawian male students are struggling to find educational needs on their own, especially those in rural areas.

Many of them fail to attend classes due to lack of financial assistance i.e. school fees and other school requirements which government and other non-governmental organizations provide to female students.

This discourages male students not to go further with their education.

The government of Malawi is exerting gender bias in education. For example in bursaries, girls are more favored and highly differentiated from boys.

Girls are having chances of bursaries and other donations while there is none for boys. Therefore, if we can say Malawi is exerting gender equality in education is a lie.
