I believe planning is very important for one to be successful in any life situation mostly to us as youths. Malawi needs energetic youths to take part in any activity and development because we are leaders of today and tomorrow. Maybe you might be asking how we are leaders of today and tomorrow?
Firstly, let’s talk about being leaders of today, we as youths, we need to be responsible for our lives. We should prevent practices such as sex. Sex is good but sometimes bad, it is good when done by the elderly in a marriage because when a woman gets pregnant, there are a few complications when giving birth and the woman has a husband. Together, they can still have a good life.
But, it is bad when it is done by young people that are not married because for example if a girl gets pregnant and the boy responsible denies pregnancy because he is a minor and cannot earn a living as a family.
As a result, the girl will not have a bright future, she will stop going to school and she cannot participate in the country's development. As youths, we have to protect ourselves from unprotected sex because if we are not we will end up contacting Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
Secondly, being leaders of tomorrow, when youths are given the chance to go to school we should work hard. Working hard and passing with flying colors will nurture us to become good leaders and rule the country in a right way. Then, we will be able to solve the country's problems. Therefore, we should work hard and have plans as leaders.
Youths, let’s be responsible for our lives. Prevent harmful practices, participate in development work and mostly work hard in school so that we should become good leaders of today and tomorrow.
