World Children's Day Take Over at Timveni

Through the Youth Out Loud project being implemented by Timveni in Mangochi with support from UNICEF, five young people were given an opportunity to take over the airwaves on Timveni radio and Zodiak Broadcasting stations.

According to the UN website, to celebrate this year's Universal Children’s Day, UNICEF has invited children from around the world taking over key roles in media, politics, business, sport and entertainment to voice their support for millions of their peers who are unschooled, unprotected and uprooted on 20th November.

At Timveni, Jamira Tiyesi co-hosted “In the Morning” with C-Dub. “In the Morning” is Timveni radio morning show which comes week day from 6 to 9 am.

Esmie Gama and Jamira were also featured on Timveni TV’s morning show “Sunny side Up” with Nancy Malata.

United Nations Universal Children’s Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.
