My memories about the Day of an African Child

Hie, guys I am Bernadette Njoka one of the youth out loud reporter  from Mangochi Secondary School.

On 15th June 2019,we visited Blantyre to do some programs about a day of an African child which was on 16th June 2019. On 15 June 2019 we went to capital FM radio station where we interviewed by Capital FM staff but it was really nice to be interviewed I like that most.

Then we went to gold executive lodge where we lodged for two  days.  On the 16th June we went to Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) FM to do program where we talked about our rights as youth  and children. Some of the tittles that we discussed are children rights first, child labor and also when I grow up. I really enjoyed the program because it encouraged me to speak out without any fear.

Now am very excited that we enjoy in Blantyre like working together as a team, eating, laughing, and also doing other things together. I will never forget about all good things we did in Blantyre.

I just want to thank UNICEF for the implementation of this program, because it helps us to stand up to our rights as youth and also to express the problems that we are facing in our communities and school. Most importantly it helped us to become good journalist.

And now we are able to express out our problems without fear.
